This program is a 15-day travel itinerary that takes you on a journey through the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. The trip begins with one day in Negombo, a coastal town known for its fishing industry and beach resorts. From there, you will travel to Sigiriya, where you will spend the next three days exploring the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress and other historical sites in the area.

The following two days will be spent in Kandy, a city nestled in the hills, known for its cultural significance and picturesque surroundings. You will then travel to Ella, a charming town surrounded by rolling hills and tea plantations, where you will spend two days.

The next two days will be spent in Yala, home to Sri Lanka’s most popular national park, where you can spot leopards, elephants, and other wildlife. You will then travel to Galle, a historic city on the southern coast known for its colonial architecture and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The final three days of the trip will be spent in Hikkaduwa, a beach town known for its coral reefs and water sports activities. The trip concludes with departure on day 15.

Arrival / Negombo

Arrival in Sri Lanka and transfer to Negombo. Spend the day at leisure and rest after the journey.

Negombo / Sigiriya

After breakfast at the hotel in Negombo, you will be driven to Sigiriya. On the way, you will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Dambulla Cave Temple, and a spice garden. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

After breakfast, climb the Sigiriya rock fortress and explore the ancient ruins of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Later, visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

On the third day, visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura, yet another UNESCO World Heritage site. Later, enjoy a bullock cart ride and a village tour in Habarana. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Sigiriya / Kandy

Depart for Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, the Royal Botanical Gardens, and explore the city at leisure.

Kandy / Ella

Leave for Ella and explore the Nine Arch Bridge, and the Ella Gap, and take a scenic train ride through the hills – enjoy the world’s most beautiful train ride!

Ella / Yala

Depart for Yala from Ella and take a jeep safari at the Yala National Park, which is known for its leopard sightings.

Yala / Galle

Head to Galle and explore the historic city, including the Galle Fort and the Dutch Reformed Church.

Galle / Hikkaduwa

After breakfast at the hotel in Galle, you will visit the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later, enjoy a scenic drive to Hikkaduwa and check in to your hotel. In the evening, take a stroll along the beach and explore the local area. Overnight stay in Hikkaduwa.

On the next day, after breakfast, visit the Hikkaduwa Coral Reef for some snorkeling or diving. Later, enjoy a relaxing day at the beach or explore the local area. In the evening, indulge in some delicious seafood at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Hikkaduwa.

Today, after breakfast, take a day trip to the nearby town of Galle and visit the historic Galle Fort, Dutch Reformed Church, and other local attractions. Later, return to Hikkaduwa and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Hikkaduwa.
