This travel program takes you on a 15-day journey through some of the most fascinating and beautiful destinations in Sri Lanka. The trip begins with two days in Negombo, a coastal town with stunning beaches and a bustling fishing industry.
From Negombo, you will head to the Cultural Triangle for three days, where you will explore ancient ruins and temples that showcase the country’s rich history and cultural heritage. Next, you will travel to Kandy, a picturesque hill station city, for two days of exploring the city’s historic sites and natural beauty.
The adventure continues with two days in Kithulgala and Sinharaja, where you will go on a thrilling whitewater rafting adventure and hike through a UNESCO World Heritage Site rainforest.
Afterward, you will travel to Galle for two days, a city famous for its colonial-era fortified city and beaches. You will have the opportunity to explore the old town and relax on the nearby beaches. Finally, the trip concludes with three days in Bentota, a coastal town known for its water sports and stunning beaches.
The program concludes with departure on day 15 from Bentota.
Arrival / Negombo
Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Negombo. Relax and unwind after your journey.
Take a city tour of Negombo, including visits to the fish market, Dutch canal, and Negombo beach.
Negombo / Cultural Triangle
Drive to Anuradhapura and explore the ancient ruins of the first capital of Sri Lanka.
On the next day, Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Sigiriya, an ancient rock fortress with beautiful frescoes and stunning views.
On the last day, Explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage site known for its well-preserved ruins and ancient temples.
Cultural Triangle / Kandy
Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the largest cave temples in Sri Lanka.
Drive to Kandy, the last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka. Visit the Temple of the Tooth, where a sacred tooth relic of the Buddha is kept.
Kandy / Kithulgala / Sinharaja / Kithulgala
Drive to Kithulgala and go on a thrilling white water rafting adventure in the Kelani River.
On the next day,Visit the Sinharaja Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the last remaining tropical rainforests in Sri Lanka. Enjoy a guided trek through the forest and spot exotic birds and wildlife.
Kithulgala / Galle
Drive to Galle and explore the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site built by the Portuguese in the 16th century.
Visit the famous stilt fishermen of Weligama and enjoy a boat ride to see the whales and dolphins off the coast.
Galle / Bentota
Relax on the beautiful beaches of Unawatuna.
Visit the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda and see baby turtles being released into the ocean.
Enjoy water sports such as jet skiing or windsurfing at Bentota beach.
