Sri Lanka’s Northern Heritage Tour

This 14-day program covers a diverse range of destinations in Sri Lanka. It starts with two days in Kalpitiya, followed by a visit to Wilpattu and Anuradhapura. From there, the tour goes to the lesser-visited areas of Mannar and Jaffna for three days. The next three days are spent in Trincomalee, known for its beautiful beaches. The tour then heads to Dambulla and finishes in Colombo. The last day is reserved for departure.
Arrival / Kalpitiya
Arrival in Sri Lanka and transfer to Kalpitiya, a scenic coastal town known for its beautiful beaches and water sports. Spend two days relaxing on the beach, kite surfing, or taking a boat ride to explore the nearby islands.
Kalpitiya / Wilpattu
Travel from Kalpitiya to Wilpattu National Park, a wildlife sanctuary famous for its leopards, elephants, and birdlife. Embark on a thrilling jeep safari to explore the park and its diverse wildlife.
Wilpattu / Anuradhapura
After an early morning game drive, head to Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka's ancient capitals and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the impressive ruins and ancient temples that date back to the 3rd century BC.
Wilpattu / Mannar
Leave Wilpattu and travel to the remote and unspoiled town of Mannar, known for its stunning beaches and rich cultural heritage. Spend the day exploring the town and its many historical landmarks.
Mannar / Jaffna
Continue the journey to the northern city of Jaffna, which offers a unique blend of Tamil culture and colonial history. Spend three days exploring the city and its surroundings, including the iconic Jaffna Fort, Nagadeepa Island, and the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil temple.
Jaffna / Trincomalee
Leave Jaffna and travel to Trincomalee, a picturesque coastal town known for its beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and ancient temples. Spend three days relaxing on the beach, exploring the historic Koneswaram Temple, or taking a whale-watching tour.
Trincomalee / Dambulla
Travel from Trincomalee to Dambulla, a town located in the heart of Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle. Visit the impressive Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and learn about Sri Lanka's rich Buddhist heritage.
Dambulla / Colombo
Day 13: Depart from Dambulla and head to Colombo, Sri Lanka's vibrant and cosmopolitan capital. Spend the day exploring the city's colonial architecture, local markets, and museums.
