This travel program takes you on a 15-day journey that combines the best of Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The trip begins with arrival in Negombo, where you will spend the first day exploring the town’s famous beaches and local markets.

From Negombo, you will travel to the Cultural Triangle, where you will spend three days exploring the ancient ruins and temples that showcase the country’s rich history and cultural heritage. Next, you will travel to Kandy, a picturesque hill station city, for two days of exploring the city’s historic sites and natural beauty.

The adventure continues with two days in Hatton, a small town nestled in the picturesque hills of Sri Lanka’s tea country. You will have the opportunity to explore the stunning tea plantations and scenic waterfalls.

On day nine, you will travel to Colombo, the country’s capital, for a day of exploring the city’s historic sites and shopping districts. From Colombo, you will fly to the Maldives for five days of luxury beachfront relaxation on a pristine tropical island.

The program concludes with departure on day 15 from the Maldives, where you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.

Arrival / Negombo

Negombo / Cultural Triangle
Leave Negombo early in the morning and drive to Anuradhapura, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka

Explore the UNESCO-listed Anuradhapura Archaeological Site, home to impressive ruins of Buddhist temples, palaces, and monasteries.

Have lunch at a local restaurant

Afternoon drive to Sigiriya, a fortress and palace ruin on top of a rock with frescoes and a stunning view of the surrounding landscape

Check-in to your hotel and spend the night in Sigiriya
Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya
Have breakfast at your hotel. Drive to Polonnaruwa, the second capital of Sri Lanka

Explore the UNESCO-listed Polonnaruwa Archaeological Site, which includes well-preserved ruins of palaces, temples, and dagobas

Have lunch at a local restaurant

Afternoon return to your hotel in Sigiriya

Optional evening safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park to see elephants in the wild
Sigiriya - Dambulla - Negombo
Have breakfast at your hotel

Drive to Dambulla to visit the famous Golden Temple of Dambulla, a UNESCO-listed cave temple complex with ancient Buddhist statues and paintings

Have lunch at a local restaurant

Drive back to Negombo and spend the night in Negombo
Cultural Triangle / Kandy
After breakfast, leave for Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka.

On the way, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a complex of ancient cave temples containing a collection of Buddhist murals, statues, and frescoes.

Then, visit a spice garden in Matale to learn about Sri Lanka's spice industry and see the many exotic spices grown on the island.

Check into your hotel in Kandy and spend the evening at leisure, perhaps taking a stroll around the Kandy Lake.

After breakfast, visit the Temple of the Tooth, which houses Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist relic - a tooth of the Buddha.

Explore the Royal Botanic Gardens, renowned for its collection of orchids and other flora.

In the evening, enjoy a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dance and music performances.

Return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Kandy / Hatton
On Day 7, after breakfast, you will head to Hatton, a scenic town in the hill country of Sri Lanka. The journey will take around 3-4 hours, and you will have the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of misty mountains and lush tea plantations along the way. On Day 8, you will have a full day to explore Hatton and its surroundings. You could visit a local tea factory to learn about the production process and sample some of the world-renowned Ceylon tea, take a hike to the summit of Adam's Peak, or simply relax and enjoy the serene mountain scenery.
Hatton / Colombo
After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Hatton and travel to Colombo by private vehicle.

On the way, make a stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see the elephants bathing in the river and learn about the conservation efforts to protect them.

Continue to Colombo and check into your hotel.

In the afternoon, take a guided city tour of Colombo to discover its colonial architecture, bustling markets, and cultural landmarks such as the Gangaramaya Temple and the Independence Square.

In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant to celebrate the end of your tour.
These days are free for you to enjoy the resort and its facilities. You can go snorkeling, scuba diving, or take part in other water sports activities.

You may also want to explore the island, visit a local village, or simply relax and unwind in the peaceful surroundings.
After breakfast, check out of the resort and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Colombo.

Upon arrival, you may have some free time to do some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before transferring to the airport for your flight back home.
