This program is a 15-day travel itinerary that takes you on a journey through the natural beauty of Sri Lanka. The trip begins with one day in Chillaw, a coastal town. From there, you will travel to Wilpattu, Sri Lanka’s largest national park, for a day of wildlife spotting.

The following two days will be spent in Bobilella, a town near Kandy, where you can explore the surrounding countryside. You will then travel to Gal Oya Eco Lodge for a night in a unique jungle lodge and a day of exploring Gal Oya National Park.

The next two days will be spent in Yala, home to Sri Lanka’s most popular national park, where you can spot leopards, elephants, and other wildlife. You will then travel to Tangalle, a beach town known for its beautiful beaches and coral reefs.

The following day will be spent exploring Sinharajah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and tropical rainforest is known for its unique flora and fauna. The final three days of the trip will be spent in Mirissa, a popular coastal town famous for its beautiful beaches and whale-watching opportunities. The trip concludes with a departure on day 15.

Arrival / Chillaw

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Chillaw, a coastal town north of Colombo.

Chillaw / Wilpattu

After breakfast, depart for Wilpattu National Park, known for its population of leopards, sloth bears, and water buffalo. Enjoy a safari through the park before returning to your hotel in Chillaw for the night.

Wilpattu / Bobilella (Kandy)

After breakfast, travel to Bobilella, a remote village in the Knuckles Mountain Range. Take a scenic trek through the mountains and stay overnight at a local guesthouse.

On the next day, continue your exploration of the Knuckles Mountain Range, known for its scenic views and biodiversity. Spend the night at the guesthouse in Bobilella.

Bobilella / Gal Oya Eco Lodge

Depart for Gal Oya Eco Lodge, located in a remote area surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife. Take a boat safari on the Senanayake Samudraya, the largest reservoir in Sri Lanka.

Gal Oya National Park

Spend the day exploring Gal Oya National Park, home to a wide range of wildlife including elephants, leopards, and sloth bears.

Gal Oya National Park / Yala National Park

Depart for Yala National Park, the second-largest national park in Sri Lanka. Enjoy a safari through the park and spend the night in a nearby hotel.

On the day 8, Continue your exploration of Yala National Park with another safari before returning to your hotel for the night.

Yala / Tangalle

Travel to Tangalle, a coastal town known for its beautiful beaches and relaxed atmosphere. Spend the day exploring the town and relaxing on the beach.Tomorrow, get geared to enjoy a day at leisure in Tangalle, with the option to take a boat ride or snorkeling excursion to nearby coral reefs.

Sinharajah

Travel to Sinharaja Forest Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the last remaining rainforests in Sri Lanka. Take a trek through the forest and stay overnight in a nearby hotel.

Sinharajah / Mirissa

Spend the day exploring Sinharaja Forest Reserve and its unique biodiversity, including numerous species of birds, reptiles, and mammals.

On the day 13, Travel to Mirissa, a popular beach town known for its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Spend the day exploring the town and relaxing on the beach.

On your day before the last day, at leisure in Mirissa, with the option to take a whale-watching excursion or visit nearby attractions such as the historic city of Galle.

Departure

Departure from Sri Lanka. Your guide will transfer you to the airport for your flight home or your next destination.
